HRLC is Going Green!

We're going to do our part to save the environment!

Starting in September, fewer trees will give their lives, as HRLC members will no longer receive
a paper edition of our monthly announcements.

We did a quick survey, and an overwhelming number of respondents favored seeing our news online only.
The newsletter, flyers, technical training brochure and announcements will be in PDF format on our web site,
so you'll be able to print out just those items that you need.

Here's what you'll need to do:

Make sure you're getting our listserv announcements in your email. Instructions for joining can be found here. If your IT department blocks such messages, you can sign up with an alternate address, such as your home email account, or a free account via Gmail, Yahoo or others. (Please remember that if you are signing up for the listserv using a generic account such as Gmail, please add your library's name to your name field so that we know it is a legitimate request - i.e. Karen Boyer, HRLC)

In order to print hard copies, you'll need to have the Adobe® reader installed on your computer. It's available free at http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html

You'll get faster access to the information you need, and we'll save money on paper and postage, which we can put to good use supporting other services. We're sure you're going to like it!
