[Super Library Supervisors] Super Library Supervisors

Sponsored by the four Regional Library Cooperatives
The Multi-Library Continuing Education Consortium, initiated by the Camden County Library and the South Jersey Regional Library Cooperative,
originally designed the Super Library Supervisor Series.

Series One - Target Audience: Library staff who are currently supervisors, but became supervisors within the past five years. (More experienced supervisors are welcome, if this is their first supervisory training.) Workshops include: What it Means to be a Supervisor, Communications, Conflict Resolution, Organizing Your Time and Space Effectively, Personnel Documentation & Evaluation. Participants must attend all five sessions.

Series Two - Target Audience: Limited to library staff who have successfully completed "Super Library Supervisors Series ONE Stepping Up to Supervisor." Workshops include: Teamwork & Effective Meeting Skills, Customer Service from the Supervisor's Point of View, Managing In All Directions: working with administration and other departments (both inside and outside the library), Managing Diversity, Stress Management & Walking the Talk: Next Steps. Participants must attend all five sessions.

Series One: "Stepping Up To Supervisor"

DATES: Thurs., March 20, April 3, April 17, May 8 and May 22
COST: $250 Per Participant (includes lunch and materials for all five sessions)

Series Two: "Supervising Others"
LOCATION:   Rahway Public Library
  2 City Hall Plaza, Rahway, NJ 07065
DATES: Thurs., Sept. 18, Oct. 2, Oct. 16, Oct. 30, and Nov. 13
COST: $250 Per Participant (includes lunch and materials for all five sessions)
